Certain ruined buildings in the Marketplace can be undertaken by the player as Renovation Projects. The player will be given the chance to redesign the building themself, being sure to adhere to a set of criteria unique to each building.
Design Criteria
[edit | edit source]- Furniture Requirements: Each project has a list of items that must be present in the interior in order for it to be accepted (eg. The Library must contain a certain amount of bookshelves) but the player can choose what furniture set they use.
- Budget: The player gets a pre-determined construction budget that they can use without digging into their own bank accounts. However, should they wish to, the player can choose to go over-budget, but they will need to finance the overdraft themself.
- Walking Space: Key furniture items such as tills, bookshelves, etc. will require a certain amount of space around them in order to make the library useable without interrupting NPC pathfinding.
